Would it be unreasonable to expect every business communication to leave you better off than before you opened it?
In business, and especially in aviation, it is easy for communication to become transactional: A request for a quotation. A follow-up for a PO. A status update. A payment reminder. But before sending any communication, I try to ask myself: “What value am I providing to the person receiving this?” Value does not always mean offering the lowest price or having the requested part immediately available.
